Statement of Purpose

The purpose of Christianville is to provide a Christian witness in Haiti. This purpose is to be realized through evangelizing, and Christian education primarily; secondarily through humanitarian assistance.

This purpose is realized through the various faith based programs that our conducted by our national staff. Evangelistic activities are conducted daily in our primary school through Bible classes and chapel services.  A chaplain ministers to the spiritual needs of our local church congregation and our national staff. Local pastors attend Bible and Preacher’s seminars at Christianville and return to their churches to better disciple their congregations. A National Preachers Conference is held each year at Christianville College in conjunction with Kentucky Christian College and Lifeline Christian Mission. Vacation Bible Schools, children’s ministry, youth ministry and adult Bible studies are part of our outreach ministries.

In November 2002 the Center for Evangelism was established. The purpose of the center is to recruit pastors to start new churches throughout Haiti, and to help secure the necessary financial resources required. College students return to their home communities each weekend to serve as pastors and church leaders. Some have already started Christian schools.

Throughout the years Christianville has given leadership and financial support to a variety of humanitarian assistance programs that are spiritually based. Two water wells provide safe drinking water for the mission as well as providing water for hundreds of people on a daily basis. The medical, dental and eye clinic provide needed medical services to local residents, students and staff. Our extensive farm program through FISH ministries supports extensive aqua/agriculture operations that produce tilapia fish on 18 ponds, a superior quality goat herd, swine, chicken, and egg production. Various nutrition programs have provided and continue to provide supplementary food for the needy. Currently we are operating an Elderly Nutrition program for almost one hundred and fifty people.

All of these efforts are supported by faithful contributors who provide prayer and financial support. Volunteers from all over the United States come to Christianville to be of assistance both spiritually and physically.

We welcome you to Christianville. Please enter into a season of prayer before you come that God will give you a clear vision of what you will experience and how you can serve both at Christianville and at home for His Kingdom. Through prayer and obedience to God’s call this trip can be a life changing experience.
